Today the resource M.I.C. Gadget published a comparative picture iPad 2 and 3 proposed iPad tablet.

As you can see, the difference in thickness is about 1-1.5 mm. Earlier, rumors appeared that the future will be slightly thicker tablet predecessor because of the need for additional free space for the more advanced components.
