Disappointing the software (Ultrasn0w) unlock solution for 4.11.08 baseband, which we have all been waiting, seems it will not come too soon.

The popular and famous baseband hacker Sherif Hashim, who has previously helped in the development of the very popular iPhone unlocking software Ultrasn0w has some words regarding the unlock solution for 4.11.08 baseband.

Sherif Hashim answered a question on twitter, mentioning that he found a vulnerability for 4.11.08 baseband but he hit a roadblock (see the image below) :

Now, although it seems that here is no current solution for this baseband, but we still have hope, that the master hacker is still developing unlocking software, which could to unlock the infamous 4.11.08 baseband.

Thoth: You can preserve your baseband, if your phone is working fine on the baseband you're currently using, all you need to do is make a custom IPSW file using Sn0wBreeze or PwnageTool and preserve your current baseband so that your iPhone will stay on whichever baseband you're on now regardless of whatever version of iOS you want to upgrade to, by using custom firmware your baseband won't be affected.
