How to Save iOS 5.1.1 SHSH Blobs to use Them in Future [Download]

SHSH blobs iOS 5.1.1

It would be true to say that currently the whole of the jailbreak community is experiencing a perfect time as now, the Jailbreak for all of the iOS devices has been made available to the masses.

We really can't thank the Chronic Dev Team and Pod2g for bringing the Absinthe version 2.0 to the Untethered Jailbreak iOS 5.1.1 on the new supported iDevices.

As the untethered jailbreak has been released, we would suggest that you make a back up of your SHSH blobs in order for you to downgrade to the previous version and get the untethered Jailbreak. You can do this by reading the guide, after the break!

You might know that 'SHSH blobs' is a signature file that helps you downgrade the iOS devices to the previous version. Normally, Jailbreaking an iDevice automatically saves the SHSH blobs on the Cydia server. So, it is better that you confirm if they have been saved or not. Simply, open Cydia and you will see iOS 5.1.1 written next to the SHSH, above where you can see "Welcome Cydia". If the SHSH blobs haven't been saved, then you can follow any of the methods below:

Save iOS 5.1.1 SHSH Blobs Using TinyUmbrella

This can be considered as the oldest and most reliable method. It also saves the SHSH blobs on your PC in order for you to stitch them by using iFaith or Redsn0w. Simply, download the latest version of Tiny Umbrella on your PC/Mac and connect your iDevice with it and click 'Save SHSH blobs'.

There is great news for GSM iPhone 4 build 9b208 users. They can save SHSH blobs on iOS 5.1.1 as the tool has been updated to 5.11.01

Save iOS 5.1.1 SHSH Blobs With iSHSHit 1.1.0

Save SHSH Blobs iOS 5.1.1

This method allows you to save the SHSH blobs without connecting your iDevice with your PC. The latest version allows you to save SHSH blobs for the iOS 5.1.1. You can download this Cydia package from Cydia for free. When you have downloaded it, open it and follow the instruction displayed. SHSH blobs can also be emailed for future use.

Leave us a word about which method you prefer!

Using TinyUmbrella or Redsn0w, you can check for all available SHSH blobs for the connected device, regardless of who 'owns' it. However, you can't use SHSH blobs from one device on another.

Is it possible that I could download SHSH blobs from the internet somewhere for my iPod touch 4th generation? I have updated to iOS 6 but now want to jailbreak untethered, so I would like to downgrade to iOS 5.1.1.

Hi I'm using iPhone 4 and I'm never jailbreak. recently I upgrade 6.1 my device and im not satisfy with ios 6 I want to downgrade to 5.1.1 how can i get the shsh blobs ?

Everyone said it couldn’t be done without SHSH blobs. Ware ever you
asked, in what ever forum you looked. It was not possible. But some how I
did do it. I downgraded from iOS6.1.1 back to iOS5.1.1 without SHSH’s.

In a playful mood I upgraded from my jail broken (absinthe-win-2.0.4)
iOS 5.1.1 bb 05.16.06 to iOS 6.0 and then to iOS 6.1 (10B141) bb
05.16.08 via iTunes (v 10.7). The last was jail broken with
evasi0n-win-1.3.

All went well but I couldn’t get anything installed with iFunbox.
Started reading in the forums and wanted to downgrade my baseband to
05.13.04 and go back to iOS 5.1.1. Going back to iOS4.1 and getting to
bb 05.13.04 is well explained but it took me about 6 days and at least
15 installs to get there. When I was on 05.13.04 I used sn0wbreeze 2.9.9
and downloaded iOS’s 4.1, 5.0.1, 5.1.1, 6.0 and 6.1.

Then sn0wbreezered them all preserving my baseband. I must have
installed between them about 10 times but every time iTune gave an error
1604 with iOS5.1.1. Suddenly the install was accepted and now I’m back
on iOS5.1.1 with bb 05.13.04. Lucky me. Can install all app’s again with
iFunBox. Tom-Tom 113 works so GPS is good.

Thanks to the makers of absinthe, evasi0n-win-1.3 and sn0wbreeze 2.9.9. (iPhone 3gs)

IS it too late to save for my ios 5.1.1?

g

in other words at one point in time, my phone had to be at 5.1.1 and i had to save my shsh at that point in order to downgrade to 5.1.1?

g

meaning that it is impossible to do it now that i am at 6.1.3
