All eyes were on WWDC 2012 yesterday. Apple stole the show with so many announcements. The first ever Retina MacBook was revealed.
Mountain Lion was announced for a release in July. The most prominent feature, however, was the announcement of the world’s most advanced operating system, the iOS 6.
There are a lot of features introduced in iOS 6. Over 200 to be exact! The developers of Cydia already dug deep to test whether it’s to tether jailbreak it. Well, we have news from the iOS hacker MuscleNerd. He states he has managed to get his iPod Touch 4G jailbroken. However, he confirms that many things, including Cydia, are not compatible with the latest iOS firmware yet:

We tested an iPod Touch 4G using redsn0w 0.9.12b2 hoping we could get any positive sign. But unfortunately, there wasn’t any success. This was expected as a lot of API changes have occurred in the new iOS 6 release.

iOS 6 jailbreak Release Date
The tweet from MuscleNerd clearly shows that iOS 6 beta jailbreak isn’t going to happen anytime soon. Many of us may not want the jailbreak to come soon as Apple has done a good job implementing the most successful Cydia tweaks as a part of the native functionality of the latest iOS version.
Remember the “Dream Team” formed by Pod2g? They aren’t dead yet! So you don’t have to worry! It is a certainty that the jailbreak will happen. However, all good things take time, so Cydia fans need to be patient. The hackers have already started researching on the beta iOS 6.
