    you cant downgrade your baseband unless you manually saved your blobs from the older operating system using either cydia or saving dirctly onto your pc files. blobs are unique to each iphone so if you didnt do this while your iphone was on the older operating system then they are lost. regardless of if you downgrade or not it will only downgrade the operating system not the baseband. i know this because i spent 4 days trying to find out a way to do it only to find this information out. your only answer is to do a factory unlock through the network your iphone is locked to. other than that you have no options.

    first things first.. u have to check whether ur 3GS supports baseband downgrade or else ur going to brick ur phone. use iforecast software to check what best for ur 3GS for unlocking..

    i'm using iphone 3g and I would like to downgrade me iphone baseband version from 05.15.04 to any version in order to support unlocking, can some one tell me which ipsw file I need to use.

    DK Try redsnow latest rel, EXTRAS/SELECT your current firmware file (.ipsw) to use for JB then, in redsnow main screen click JB, select upgrade to ipad baseband, leave "install cydia" with no check and follow instructions for DFU mode and the rest of the process. You can even downgrade then from ipad BB to a iphone BB (05.13.04) using the same procedure. marc

    Hi there, I've got an iPhone 3gs. upgraded to, OS,6.1 , as one or 2 apps stopped working with original OS.
    I got a "please use original SIm error" message. Tried using Redsnow...got up to "missing keys. plist data for plain build" window with ecid no. and build data info window. Then got stuck on the recovery icon. Now showing activation error screen.

    I've read a lot about all the other programs with my research
    about ultra snow, snowbreeze, tiny umbrella, limera, limerain, ios 6.1.2,, evasion and other firmware. I've also read a few blogs...I dont know what my baseband number is. Thought I'd check with you first before trying other firmware to "jailbreak?"
    Don't mind downgrading back to the official OS(4.1)? even if certain apps won't work. Just want to be able to make calls and use the basics like Wi-FI!
    I had no problems until I upgraded! Any advice would be much appreciated.

    I updated to ios 6.1.3 today and lost my jailbreak... how do I get back to iod 6.1.2 so I can have my jailbreak!?!?!?!

    6.15.00 baseband is for ipad.. u have to downgrade ur baseband to 5.13.04 to do this u have to downgrade ur iOS to iOS4.1 using redsnow restore make sure to preserve ur 6.15.00 baseband when u downgrade to iOS4.1.. after that.. use redsnow to downgrade 6.15.00 to 5.13.04. u can google the steps its so easy. then if after successfully downgrading to baseband 5.13.04 u can now upgrade ur iOS to 6.1.2 using snowbreeze to preserve the baseband. remember do not sync or update ur iOS using itunes or over-the-air update cuz it will upgrade ur baseband. and u will lose the unlock. now use ultrasnow to unlock ur 3GS with baseband 5.13.04 :D

    Hi i'm using iphone 3gs now i update to 6.1.3 thn i jailbreak my handset using new redsn0w still no service basband is 6.15.00 some one help me how to fix it

    i have a ipod touch 5th gen and im trying to upgrade to 6.1.2 using the link above (6.1.2 custom firmware - because then i can still jailbreak) but it won't open when i try to open with itunes nothing happens please help
