TinyUmbrella has been given an update that has made it compatible with the iOS 6.0 and iOS 6.0.1 firmware. It includes support for the iPad mini, iPad 4, and the iPhone 4 stealth revision.

Save iOS 6.0.1 SHSH blobs

The new update brings TinyUmbrella to version 6.01.00. For those users who are not familiar with the workings of TinyUmbrella; it is a tool that enables iOS users to save the SHSH blobs for their iDevices.

Saving SHSH blobs makes it possible to downgrade to a iOS firmware version that Apple has stopped signing into. However, keep in mind that downgrading has become quite difficult than it previously was. Newer iOS devices are pretty difficult to downgrade, however A4 devices are faced with less complications when downgrading.

The official blog post can be viewed below:

“I’ve updated TU to support iOS 6 and 6.0.1. The new iPad mini and iPad 4 are also supported as well as the new iphone 4 stealth revision.

Sorry for the delay folks. I’m still working on some pretty dang well needed changes to TU. The wait will be worth it…”
