MOSEC conference, held by Team Pangu, has been a blast. A fresh iOS 10.3.2 and iOS 11 jailbreak was showcased along with other exploits. Below are all the details about the conference.

iOS 10.3.2 and iOS Jailbreak Developed By KeenLab

A new team of hackers and researchers from China have formed a new team by the name Tencent KeenLab. This has been their first demo of an iOS 10.3.2 and iOS 11 jailbreak. The organizer MOSEC 2017 tweeted this:

0-day exploits were demonstrated by KeenLab on these devices:

  • iPhone 7 on iOS 10.3.2
  • iPhone 7 on iOS 11 beta 1 and 2
  • iPhone 6 on iOS 10.3.2

Here is an iPhone 7 with firmware iOS 11 beta 2 that’s jailbroken. KeenLab Dev Team used a jailbreak that appears as if it’s a push-button tool.

And here’s another photo of the MOSEC 2017 demonstration. According to the image, the KeenLab team has jailbroken all those devices and the Cydia Installer is running on them.

Luca Todesco, the jailbreak developer of Yalu team, also talked at MOSEC 2017 conference. The specialist explained exploitation techniques that can be applied to modern iOS firmwares.

Should You Update to iOS 11 or Keep Using iOS 10?

iOS 11 is still in beta mode, therefore it will have some vulnerabilities and bugs. Apple, however, will patch those when it publicly releases iOS 11.

However, there’s a huge possibility of a new jailbreak being available for iOS 10.3.x – stick to using iOS 10.3.2 because the jailbreak has been developed for it by Pangu. Pangu has a good reputation when it comes to jailbreaking.

If you have upgraded to iOS 11, you can always downgrade from iOS 11 to iOS 10.3.2.

The Pangu team demoed iOS 10 jailbreak at MOSEC 2016 and it was released as jailbreak for iOS 9.2-9.3.3. That implies the iOS 11 exploits may function on iOS 10 too.

iOS 10.3.2 /11 Jailbreak – When To Release?

No official ETA has been given by Team KeenLab or Pangu, so don’t get any false hopes. This event showcasing could be a 0-day exploit demo that was just done for a bounty prize.

Although public jailbreak isn’t expected for some time, this is good news for those who love to jailbreak. iOS 10 users are recommended to stay on their current firmware. A jailbreak could be released for it very soon. Without a doubt, a long jailbreak drought has shadowed us, but hopefully untethered jailbreak iOS 11 and iOS 10.3.2 will arrive soon.
