- Disconnect the iPhone from PC or Mac.
- Launch iTunes on PC / Mac.
- Press and hold Power and Home button for 10 seconds or till the screen is blank.
- Keep holding the Home button but release the Power button.
- Connect the iPhone via USB to the PC / MAC.
- iPhone will display the iTunes icon and USB cable.

How to exit the recovery mode on iPhone
Getting the iPhone out of recovery mode is easy. Just follow these two steps:
- Press and hold the Power and Home buttons for around 15 seconds and wait for the screen to go blank.
- Release the Home button but keep the Power button pressed until the iPhone boots up.
Alternatively, a software such as TinyUmbrella or RecBoot can be used to kick the iPhone out of recovery mode.
