Pod2g Discovers 2 Big Jailbreak Vulnerabilities - 1 Kernel and 1 Root Land

5.1 Untethered release date
Today we received an important update about the status of the iOS 5.1 untethered jailbreak.

Pod2g today tweeted that he had a “productive weekend”, reportedly finding two big vulnerabilities — ( one kernel land and one root land ) in the the most recent version of IOS.

Good news comes just five days after the Pod2g posted a new poll on his personal site, asking jailbreakers if hackers should continue focus on an iOS 5.1 untethered jailbreak or wait until Apple start to seed iOS 6.

Jailbreakers still have a couple of days to voice their opinions. However, it looks like the end result has pretty much been decided. Out of 140,061 votes, 87,173 (or 63% from the voters) think that hackers should focus on iOS 5.1 jailbreak.
